The people who need a money mindset coach the most, are usually the ones who don’t have a whole lot of it to begin with. So they’re playing the same phrase over and over on repeat in their minds: “If I had the money to hire a money mindset coach, I wouldn’t need one would I?”
False.
First, there are multiple reasons to hire a money mindset coach. So let’s talk about a few.
If you are not making consistent $10k months working less than 40 hours a week, you need a money mindset coach. The relationship between time and money is a strenuous one for many.
You should not be giving up all of your free time to earn moolah. I don’t care if you are making $50k a month. If you’re sacrificing your family time, physical well-being, or social or spiritual life to do so, you need a money mindset coach because even though you are making good money, you have a dysfunctional relationship with it.
“Well, I don’t need $10k months”…spoken like a person desperately in need of money mindset coaching because they are settling, negotiating, and usually jealous or degrading of those who are making that kind of money.
So if any of these sound familiar, the answer is to hire a money mindset coach immediately and save yourself the struggle and heartache of wasting years of time.
Who Needs to Hire a Money Mindset Coach?
Second, If making decent money or keeping money flowing into your life on a regular basis has always felt difficult, you need a money mindset coach.
Not a budgeting coach. Not a financial planner. Not a life coach.
Money Mindset Coaching is entirely its own arena and for good reason. Money has an impact on nearly EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES. Most likely, you are making some money mistakes that are actually keeping you where you’re at!
Lack of it can cause a whole lot of troubles and not knowing how to manage an abundance of it can be disastrous.
And when I say manage, I don’t just mean where to invest it. I mean how to live your day to day life and show up energetically so that you can maintain a positive flow of money in your life AND be happy to boot.
Why Should I Hire a Money and Success Coach?
Third, If you knew how to make money in abundance by yourself, you’d already been doing it yeah?
This is a doozy. You can read all the books you want. Download hundreds of freebies. Attend dozens of webinars or workshops. Go to the greatest fist-pumping seminar of your life.
Three days later…you have less traction than an ice rink.
There is a huge difference between knowing and doing. Many people know what they should be doing, and still struggle to do it. The accountability that comes with a money mindset coach, well at least with me, is necessary for nearly everyone.
I have my own money mindset mentor and I am one, so that should tell you something about the importance of having someone knowledgeable in your corner.
You have to be willing to invest in creating the environment necessary for your success. Having a coach/mentor is hands down the best way to do that so long as you are hiring a good coach that will genuinely listen and help you implement the work you need to do.
Money Mindset Coaching Will Fill the Gaps
Fourth, Even if you know what steps you should be taking to earn more money in your life or business, you might be doing them wrong.
WHAT!?
Hear me out. When I first started my business many moons ago, I knew the foundational business principles. I knew, logically, exactly what steps to do and in what order.
I started making money and then I plummeted down a rabbit hole and had to start over.
Why?
Because my money mindset was trash. Like many, I grew up hearing things like:
- Money doesn’t grow on trees
- Wealthy people are greedy
- The other shoe will drop
- Making money is hard
- You’ll have to work your a** off
- You’ll need to choose between having a family and having a career
- Easy come, easy go
- Money is the root of all evil
- No matter what, some people are destined for more than others
So even if you know what to do, you may not know how to do it. It requires showing up with an energy and emotion that most people simply don’t have around money.
It requires dumping years of programmed beliefs and habits. That is something that almost no one can accomplish alone. Sometimes what we have accepted as normal is totally not, and it takes someone else to help us work through that.
Making Money Should Feel Fun and Easy
Last, well definitely not last, but last for this post. Making money should feel fun and easy.
Most people wake up, drag their butts to the job they dread, and do it all over again on repeat for years.
Decades.
YUCK.
If something feels difficult for you, you’ll avoid it. (Burpees I’m talking to you!) You’ll dread it. And when forced to do it, it’ll suck your energy and leave you feeling a whole lot of feels on the negative spectrum.
Boredom, Irritation, Frustration, Sadness, Doubt, Anger, Apathy, Dread.
Does your job or business drum up any of these feelings more than one or two days a week?
Adjusting the way you think about money, feel about wealth and success, can have a serious effect on your emotions and results.
It can be the difference between running the business of your dreams, or staying stuck at employment that keeps you living paycheck to paycheck indefinitely.
How Do I Hire a Money Mindset Coach?
So how do you find the perfect money mindset and success coach for you?
Ask yourself a few of these questions.
- Am I trying to build a business or turn a side hustle into a business?
- Do I want to leave my day job this year?
- How often do I want to be able to talk to my coach personally?
- Do I want a coach that is practical, spiritual, or a mix of both?
- Do I want 3 months of support, 6, or even 12?
Speak with the coach either on a zoom call or through the DM’s. Get to know them a little. Let them get to know you. Not just in a business sense, a personality sense.
Here’s what I will say. When it comes to money mindset, I’d avoid group programs. You’ll never open up and share the way you need to in a group program. On top of that, you’ll see cross coaching. Cross coaching is when you have other people who have signed up for the same help as you, giving you advice….yeah…no thanks.
I’d also avoid cheap online courses unless you are just looking for a refresher. Again, a course relies on you doing all the work yourself. And as we said before, if you knew how, you’d already be doing it.
Paying for Money Mindset and Success Coaching
Final note: I know many of you are still freaking out. Thinking, yeah I’d love a money mindset coach but how will I pay for it? This whole spend money to make money thing really sucks.
That too is a money mindset issue. Every decent coach will help you brainstorm for ways you could pay for their program. Be open to their suggestions. Most offer some kind of payment plan.
Money mindset coaches are not cheap. At least not good ones. And if you’re looking for a cheap one, that too is a money mindset issue. You get what you pay for and cheap coaches rarely deliver what you truly need.
MMC will usually cost somewhere in the mid four figures to low five figures for 3-5 months of coaching. But if you could double or triple your income in that time, wouldn’t it be worth it?
Ultimately, if you don’t change, nothing changes. I guarantee you do not want to be in the exact same position you are now, six months or a year from now.
